The main purpose of the DENEYAP Makers Labs is to train young individuals with high technology production competence, who will be the driving force of the National Technology Initiative, which we consider indispensable for the development of our country.

What Is DENEYAP Makers Labs?

DENEYAP Makers Labs is a long-term and free technology education program launched in 2017 by the Turkish Technology Team Foundation (T3 Foundation) and carried out within the scope of the Technology Stars of Future Program.

DENEYAP is a unique education model that aims to develop the human resources of the National Technology Initiative and introduces middle and high school students to technology production at an early age. Within the scope of the program, students are raised not only as consumers of technology but also as individuals who design and develop it. To date, thousands of students across Türkiye have had the opportunity to receive qualified training in coding, robotic coding, software development, and advanced technology fields through DENEYAP Makers Labs.

Where Is DENEYAP Makers Labs Located?

DENEYAP Makers Labs is operated through modern educational infrastructures established in different cities across Türkiye. The program is built on a widespread structure aiming to reach talented young people interested in technology in all 81 provinces.

In this way, students can receive education in qualified technology workshop environments in their own cities and be included in a learning process based on long-term, sustainable, and equal opportunities.

What Is the DENEYAP Education Model?

The DENEYAP Education Model follows a holistic educational approach that lasts for 36 months and is offered completely free of charge. The model is designed to support students' cognitive, social, and personal development in addition to technical training. The education process consists of two main stages:

- First 24 Months: Students receive basic and advanced training in 11 different technology fields. During this process, they gain skills in algorithmic thinking, problem-solving, design-oriented approaches, and project development.

- Last 12 Months – Teaming Period: Students work in teams to prepare for national and international competitions. At this stage, project production, prototyping, presentation, and team management skills come to the forefront.

Thanks to this structure, students experience a versatile development process centered on technical depth, application experience, and teamwork.

How Do Instructor Application Processes Work?

The instructor staff of DENEYAP Makers Labs consists of undergraduate and graduate students studying in relevant university departments, graduates, teachers, and industry professionals. Instructor candidates participate in the Instructor Training Program following the established application process.

In addition, guidance mentors conduct weekly observations in the workshops to support the healthy progress of the education process. This structure holistically supports both the academic and psychosocial development of students.

How Does the Student Selection Process Work?

Student admission to DENEYAP Makers Labs is carried out through a four-stage transparent and objective evaluation process.

1.  Online Application

4th-, 5th-, 8th-, and 9th-grade students, as well as high school preparatory class students who wish to receive education at DENEYAP Makers Labs, complete their online applications by creating an account on the T3 KYS website, provided that they reside in provinces open for applications during the designated exam periods.

2.  E-Exam

Students who complete the online application participate in the e-exam prepared according to middle school and high school levels. The exam consists of 40 questions covering Mathematics, Science, Algorithm, and General Culture and lasts 80 minutes. Incorrect answers do not affect correct answers. Rather than testing theoretical knowledge, the exam measures reasoning, problem-solving, analytical thinking, and interpretation skills.

3.  Online Training and Task Completion

A certain number of candidates who are successful in the E-Exam participate in online training sessions and complete the assigned tasks in line with the provided calendar. Candidates who successfully complete this process gain the right to participate in the next stage, the Practice Exam.

4.  Practice Exam

In the Practice Exam, students are expected to develop an original project design in line with the main theme announced a few days before the exam and present their projects to the jury. Evaluation is based on problem-solving, creative thinking, innovative approaches, technical competence, and self-expression skills. As a result of the evaluations, candidates entitled to receive education are announced.

Students who successfully complete these four stages gain the right to be included in the 36-month education program at DENEYAP Makers Labs within the available quota.
